About Cranial Dump

10/23/2009

The primary goal for Cranial Dump is to share information with others about stuff that I have found make life easier and more fulfilling and productive: products, procedures, advice, books, and more. Opinions expressed are just that: my opinions. The ideas and recommendations on Cranial Dump work for me from a mind/body/spirit perspective, but your mileage may vary, so use your noodle when deciding if a recommendation will work for you.

What’s with the affiliate links? Are you trying to make money?
I write primarily to educate. I do not link to any products and services that I don’t use myself, and I don’t do paid reviews. The affiliate links on Cranial Dump are there for two reasons: 20% of profits go to Brooklife Church, and the remaining profits help to offset the cost of having this blog hosted. If there is any money left after this (and, so far, there hasn’t been), it would be a small payment for my efforts to help people find solutions. If you buy through one of my affiliate links, you pay the same price that you would if you didn’t use my link.

What’s with the weird Cranial Dump title?
I am a compulsive researcher of whatever catches my attention at the moment, and I started this blog as a way to collect what I learn so I can easily share with friends, family and whoever else happens to stop by. Essentially, this is my personal mind dump, but when I tried to register the domains MindDump.com or MindDump.net, both were taken. I thought about synonyms for “mind” and thus came up with Cranial Dump. If you don’t understand what I was trying to get at, check out Cranium on Wikipedia.
