Pray for Haiti, and for Kerlanda

Kerlanda is the little girl from Haiti that my family sponsors. Her family is extremely poor, like 80% of Haitians, and they are farmers who live in Port Au Prince, which was destroyed by an earthquake two days ago. Compassion International, the organization we sponsor Kerlanda through, has not yet located her.

If she is dead (I can barely write that word), she is with God. She has told me that Christ is her savior. I pray that the rest of her family has been brought to a relationship with the Lord as well. If she is alive, she could be hurt, or scared, or sad for the loss of friends or family members.

Please join me in crying out in prayer for Kerlanda, her family and all the people in Haiti who have lived through this tragic destruction. Pray that those who are especially strong in their faith would draw others around them to the Lord while they endure this unimaginable journey. Pray that God rebuilds Haiti into a more prosperous island for the millions who inhabit it. Amen.
