Is Facebook using YOUR profile pic in ads on your friend’s pages? Probably.

Cheryl Smith’s husband logged in to his Facebook account recently and viewed an ad letting him know “hot singles are waiting for you”. The photo with with ad was Cheryl’s. Check out the blog post Change Your Facebook Settings Or Else to see the ad, and to learn how to change your Facebook settings to ensure that your profile photo doesn’t show up in ads on your friend’s Facebook pages. I just did!

Step 4 in the procedure for keeping your picture out of Facebook ads refers to the “Facebook Ads” tab at the top of the page.
