Until this morning, I didn’t know automated blogging tools existed. The thought of automated blogging has never crossed my mind, and the term ‘automated blogging’ is the finest example of an oxymoron that I’ve heard yet.
It’s bad enough that blog content has become watered down by those who republish the same, or nearly the same, content on several sites, whether they have legal rights to the writing or not. Blogs are an opportunity to present information to the public with a unique spin and if someone makes some cash while blogging, all the more power to them. But auto-blogging seems to only exist for one purpose: to try to earn money from affiliate plans regardless of quality of content.
How unfortunate.
Darren Rowse on Problogger has some good information about automated blogging tools and if using them is ever appropriate. Susan Vickers, Internet & Social Media Marketing Strategist, Consultant and Coach, brought my attention to Darren’s post via the Professional Bloggers group on LinkedIn.
